FirstSource Title Agency is seeking an experienced Senior Title Curative Specialist to lead our curative efforts and ensure the integrity of property titles across all 50 states. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned title professional ready to take the next step into leadership or for an existing manager eager to bring their expertise to a team that values precision, speed, and excellence. As the Senior Title Curative Specialist, you will oversee and execute the title curative process from start to finish, resolving issues that could affect the successful closing of transactions. You’ll be the agency’s go-to resource for detailed, state-specific title questions, ensuring compliance with laws and customs nationwide. Working closely with examiners, underwriters, and team members, you’ll guide efficient, accurate resolutions that keep transactions moving smoothly. This role can be performed remotely and requires a professional who is highly knowledgeable, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities with confidence. Responsibilities: • Oversee the full title curative process, from identifying defects to executing corrective actions. • Review and analyze title commitments, legal descriptions, liens, judgments, and other recorded documents to ensure a clear title. • Serve as the internal expert on title laws and recording requirements across all 50 states. • Provide guidance and mentorship to curative staff, fostering accuracy and efficiency in all curative work. • Communicate with lenders, real estate professionals, attorneys, and clients to obtain necessary documentation and resolve title issues. • Collaborate with underwriters and examiners on complex title challenges requiring legal or procedural insight. • Maintain detailed records of all curative efforts and ensure compliance with state-specific regulations and company policies. Qualifications: • 5+ years of title experience with a strong understanding of title-related laws and procedures across multiple states (nationwide knowledge strongly preferred). • Deep familiarity with title curative processes, defect resolution, and property transaction workflows. • Proven ability to quickly provide detailed, accurate answers to title-related inquiries across different jurisdictions. • Prior leadership or team coordination experience is a plus, but not required for candidates with strong technical expertise and leadership potential. • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills. • Proficiency with title software and electronic recording systems.
