Position Overview
The North Central District Health Department is seeking a Registered Nurse to serve as a full-time Public Health Nurse under the direction of the Director of Nursing. This role supports essential public health services throughout the district.
Job description:
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide entry-level nursing care and client assessments in accordance with Public Health Practice References, Nursing Scope, and Standards of Practice
Accurately document services per the Clinical Service Guide (CSG) and Administrative Reference (AR)
Assist with immunizations, including COVID-19 vaccinations
Maintain client confidentiality and privacy in compliance with all guidelines
Provide education, counseling, and teaching to individuals and families
Utilize community resources appropriately and complete required training.
Minimum Education, Training, or Experience
Must hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky, a compact state, or a provisional Kentucky license
License must meet all requirements of KRS 314.041

North Central District Health Department serves the communities of Henry, Shelby, Spencer, and Trimble counties in Kentucky. We are centrally located between the two largest cities in Kentucky, Louisville and Lexington. We serve rural and small urban-like communities.
