PRO Pediatric Services, is seeking exceptional Paraprofessionals to provide services within a local intermediate unit.

Job Details:

  • Location: Dunmore, PA
  • Schedule: Full-time, 10-month position. M-F 8am-2:30pm. Hourly position; you are only paid for the hours that you work
  • Caseload: K-12, Autistic Support, Multiple Disabilities, and Life Skills classrooms
  • Requirements: Must have an Associate’s degree or higher and have at least one year of recent experience working in a school-based setting.
  • Additional Details: Paraprofessionals will work with students 1:1 during the school calendar year and will follow the school calendar for days off, holidays, etc. Summers are off; ESY may be available but is not guaranteed.

Job Description:

Our Paraprofessionals are vital members of the school team. They work with our district partners to deliver high-quality services to a variety of students grades K-12. Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with disabilities or special needs in a school setting
  • Assist with mobility, positioning, and personal hygiene as needed
  • Support students in classroom activities, communication, and social interactions
  • Help implement behavior management strategies under teacher and therapist guidance
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents regarding student progress and needs

What You Bring:

  • Must have an Associate's degree or higher
  • A minimum of one year recent experience working with children in a school setting is required
  • Must be comfortable using a computer
  • Must be able to complete clinical documentation to school district standards
  • Current clearances (within 6 months)
